Solar Fusion

Bringing fusion back to Redwood City.

Solar Fusion launched in September 2025 to give the Peninsula a local dance again, in the spirit of the legendary South Bay Fusion.

The story

We started Solar Fusion not really knowing what we were getting into, but wanting a fun, relaxed dance space on the Peninsula. The area had gone years without a regular fusion night, and we wanted to pay homage to South Bay Fusion by bringing that energy back to Redwood City.

The response has been beyond anything we hoped for. Twice a month, a full ballroom of dancers shows up at Luna del Soul: regulars who have not missed a night since the soft open, first-timers straight from the lesson, and friends from every fusion scene around the Bay. We literally could not do it without you.

In our first year we hosted 24 dances and welcomed dozens of DJs to the booth. See every night so far.

  • Dobromir Montauk

    Co-founder · lessons · logistics draft

    Dobromir has been building dance communities for two decades: salsa!Kraków in Poland, Salsa @ Google in the Bay Area, and since 2018 the blues and fusion scene. He teaches the 8:30 lesson with a physics-first approach to connection and looks after the venue and the books.

Our home

Luna del Soul House of Dance is a second-floor dance studio in downtown Redwood City with a big sprung-wood ballroom, a medium studio for the lesson, and a lounge with snacks. We have been there since day one. Venue details and directions.
